💻Instead of trying to remove screens or focusing on having less screen time, it might be easier to think about what you can ADD
👨👨👦👦Screen time often is filling some sort of purpose. Maybe it’s helping get dinner on the table or it’s a chance to unwind. It can be hard (or impossible) to remove that.
Instead, we can ADD in other things:
🌳Outside time
🚂Independent play
🐶Playing with pets
📕Reading together
🧽Doing work around the house together
Even if we add in a couple of those things for 10 minutes a week, suddenly screens feel like one part of the day and not the focus of the day.
🗓️It can also help to “zoom out” and think more about what a week looks like for your family instead of focusing on the amount of screen time each day.
